Every season presents unique challenges for your skin. It is common for the colder months of Winter to dehydrate your skin leaving it feeling itchy, dull and dry, even cracked and sore.
As we start heading into Winter, follow this skincare routine to improve your skin's health and feeling restored in no time.
One important factor to remember is that you need products with low molecular weights, which penetrate the layers of the skin. When using a serum, it is important to use moisturiser because the lipids in the moisturiser activate the nutrition in the serum.
Day Routine:
1. Cleanse skin
2. Apply Serum Vitamin C, or Day one with Hyaluronic Acid.
3. Apply Precious Oils.
4. Apply Moisturiser.
5. Apply Makeup or SPF products.
Night Routine:
1. Cleanse using a gentle, oil based cleanser.
2. Exfoliate (1-2 times per week.)
3. Apply Serum night one, use Retinoid or Night based serum, or Hyaluronic Acid.
4. Apply Precious Oils Blend (Added nutrients.)
5. Apply Moisturiser.
Also, remember to continue to drink plenty of water. Water’s function with our skin is not only in keeping it hydrated, but supporting the skin to continue performing its vital function. Water carries nutrients and oxygen to cells, helps our brain to function and helps to flush out toxins and waste from our kidneys and liver. If water loss occurs, our skin can become dry and cracked, leaving us prone to infections and illness.
