Our Commitment to the Planet
Our purpose goes beyond beauty and scent, we also value and acknowledge the harmony which sustains it. In a world aspiring for authenticity and transparency, we stand out because of our genuine care and craftsmanship.
“If we start out our day either compassion, love, grace and kindness, then we take it out into the world, and then we have the potential for great change.” - Maryka Malano
Our brand is connected with natural landscapes and a culture of craftsmanship. Standing for high quality, sustainability, ethical sourching, and organic purity; our high-end, luxury products coupled with our ethical business practices, align with the ever growing global consumer demand for sustainable shopping options.

Ingredient Integrity & Ensuring the Prevention of Animal Cruelty
Our products don’t just serve a purpose, they tell a story of love, nature, and dedication, to you and to the planet. Part of our practices and ethos as a business and how we make our products, is in being as kind as possible to the planet and in causing no harm. We all live on this planet together, we are all connected through energy, what we do today, has an impact on the planet tomorrow.
Our moral compass stems from our Mystical practices of Alchemy and Hermeticism, which emphasise the interconnectedness of the universe, among which is the principle of Cause & Effect; “for every action that we take, there is a reaction and a consequence.” – Maryka Malano
We endeavour to make our products as pristine as we can within commercial laws and regulations, through ensuring we use the rawest, purest ingredients that we can source from nature
We care about where every ingredient comes from and which businesses we source those ingredients from across the globe, in supporting our integrity and our commitment to creating high quality, cruelty free and eco-friendly products
Where possible, we source from Tasmanian companies, including supporting sustainable harvesting of organic seaweeds in Tasmania through an innovative Tasmanian bio-technology company, Marinova.
We take great care in choosing and regularly reviewing our trusted suppliers, who are Organic and Cruelty Free Certified, to maintain our product consistency and that their methods continue to match our values of being kind to the planet, cruelty-free, ethical, fair trade practices, and, responsibly and sustainably sourcing ingredients.
Many ingredients on the market actually destroy the plants they are harvested from. Not only that, animals, insects, and marine life are also killed in the process, having a a knock-on and devastating impact on the environment and individual eco-systems. These practices are not sustainable for the planet.

Innovation Meets Conscious Craftmanship
This is why for some of our ingredients, we choose companies who practice biomimicry cellular extraction. Biomimicry is a fascinating field of science that looks to nature for inspiration, studying the way natural systems and designs work, then applying those insights to create innovative solutions to human challeng.
Our dedication to creating products that are health enhancing and of the highest quality is at the heart of everything we do, and our commitment to excellence is something we will never compromise on.
Another note to add is that not all synthetics are bad.
People have decided that all synthetic fragrances are bad because some are made cheaply and use toxic chemicals. We are here to say that not all synthetics are bad and can be useful in making a more consistent and stable product. It all comes down to how the molecules are produced.
We use premium, high quality natural molecules which are extracted by a chemist in New South Wales, Australia, in New Zealand and in the UK. We have them made, and then carefully blend them with essential oils and absolutes. These are expensive and used in smaller quantities, with around 1% of people having some type of reaction, so they do not tend to cause any issues with most people who come into contact with them.
There are several reasons why we use synthetic molecules and natural isolates.
The biggest reason is that it aids with the prevention and elimination of cruelty and death of animals like male musk deer, antelope, musk ox, musk shrew and civet cats for the extraction of Musk and beavers for Castoreum.
They also aid with minimising illegal poaching and trading which leads to animals becoming at risk of being endangered or becoming extinct. No scent in the world is worth any type of cruelty or extinction!
The other reason is for minimising disruption to supply of products to our customers.

Fair Trading & Ethical Sourcing
While Tasmania and regions across other Australian states offer a rich abundance of beautiful ingredients that we proudly incorporate, we are also transparent about the fact that there are certain ingredients that are simply not able to be produced locally, creating local sourcing gaps. Some raw ingredients also do no offer as much nutrient depth as others available on the market. In some cases, the nutrient profile or overall quality of certain ingredients, is significantly higher from specialised regions overseas.
This is one of the reasons why we support trusted global economic projects in the forests and with tribes in communities such as in the Amazon Jungle, Southeast Asia, India, and Africa. We also ensure that each ingredient is a part of a fair-trade initiative for these tribes and communities before purchsing.
This is all part of our commitment to maintaining high quality, sustainable, ethical sourcing, and the organic purity of our products so they remain as effective, nourishing, and pure as possible.

Mindful Manufacturing
We made the decision to build our business on our property, located in the bushland of Honeywood, north of Hobart in Southern Tasmania, Australia, to minimises travelling and reduce our carbon footprint.
Our property is home to a thriving collection of native and non-native flora, thoughtfully complimented by the ongoing planting of trees, shrubs, herbs, and flowers. These efforts not only enhance the biodiversity on the property, but also reflect our commitment to nurturing the environment and reducing our ecological footprint.
Currently, much of our flora is hand harvested with care and thoroughly integrated into key extraction and distillation stages of our perfume making process, for our upcoming Tasmanian Perfume set to debut in 2026/27.
Hand harvesting helps maximise sustainability of the plants and minimises the impact that over harvesting creates.

Labelling & Packaging
We are always looking for ways to reduce packaging and use eco-friendly alternatives that support our commitment to sustainability, without ever compromising on product quality.
Our sustainable practices include eco-friendly and recyclable packaging, reusing postage materials, offering refill options, and minimising production waste. We also support global sustainability initiatives that benefit forests and tribal communities.
Up to 85% of our labels are printed with eco-ink, which is biodegradable and more environmentally responsible. These inks, often water or soy based, release fewer harmful compounds into the air and reduce risks like skin irritation, respiratory issues, and hormone disruption compared to traditional solvent-based inks.
Our packaging for our Perfumes, Oil Reed Diffusers and Jewellery are made using compostable card that can be recycled, with Candles being the next product to have this packaging. Our Hair Care and Soap boxes are also recyclable.
We use a mixture of glass and plastic containers for our skincare products that are BPA free, reusable and recyclable.

Minimal Waste
With the type of business we have and the products we manufacture, the reality is that we will never be zero waste. It is misguided to believe that we could obtain that status and misleading for us to make that claim.
We do however, minimise waste wherever possible by reducing single-use plastics, reusing shipping packing and whenever practical, reusing containers through careful washing and sterilisation, to use for ingredient and storage within our business.
With the biomass that remains after perfume distillation and maceration processes, we compost within our gardens to help replenish nutrients into the soil and for the flora, and minimise what waste we put into landfill.
We offer refill options for a range of our products including Body/Hand Wash, Roll-On Deodorants, Hand Sanitiser and Artisan Oil Reed Diffusers.
We are also currently working on offering a candle refill option, which is in the prototype and trialling stage.
We have these processing in place to help conserve resources, minimising demand on new materials as well as reducing waste output that goes into landfill, and as a way of decreasing pollution, lowering emissions, and keeping our footprint light.
