Volume 05 / Summer 2025

Hello and Welcome our Summer Edition Newsletter for 2025!

Well, the year has passed us all by and we are left wondering where did the last 11 months go?

We are heading to Christmas and the holiday season and we had every intention of bringing a newsletter out to you a couple of months ago, however, we ended up having some major projects happening and we lost track of time.

Our Creative Designer, Tabitha has been patiently waiting for us to give you an update from the past few months, but we have had some really exciting projects this year, which you can read about as you read through this newsletter.

We wanted to take this time to Thank you for your ongoing support, graciousness and kindness this past year. It feels like we have not long started the year, but not to worry, “time waits for no one!” As they say.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish all our supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. May 2026 bring you and your loved ones so much joy, peace and love.

See you all on the other side!

Warmest Wishes & Many Blessings

Make Your Own DIY Uplift Summer Oil Blend

Summer is a great time to have scents that contain citrus, mint and florals. Summer is a time for bbqs, outdoor social events, and it has that certain type of “aaahhh” to it.

So, we thought that an uplifting and energetic blend would be effective, especially if the days are long, hot and a little bit tiring. Sometimes, heat can be exhausting, especially if it is in the mid 30’s.

Particular smells can influence your mood and promote happiness and peace. Other smells help enliven and uplift, which helps to maintain positive emotions. There has been some research conducted on essential oils and it has been found that some oils increase dopamine levels in the brain.

There are a number of people who should avoid essential oils or at least obtain the correct advice. They include: People who are pregnant, babies, people with Hypertension, people with Epilepsy or a Neural Disease and pets. You must always seek out and research the correct information regarding oils.

If you are implementing routines into your daily life and are still finding that you are struggling with your health, and/or mental health, please consider consulting your doctor if you have any concerns.

Please remember to use all oils as directed and always follow safety instructions.

Essential oils are listed as a chemical by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). The reason they are called chemicals is that they contain volatile chemical compounds from plants. (Remember that not all chemicals are demons!)

A Chat with Olfactive Melbourne

We were interviewed by Trent and Robyn Stokes from the Olfactive Melbourne Podcast. We were honoured to be a part of their show, and we spent 2 hours discussing our feature fragrance for the Masterclass, which was Cigar Whisky.

Trent and Robyn were great, we felt as though it was a conversation with friends discussing our passion for perfume. If you are interested, you can check out the interview on Olfactive Melbourne YouTube channel.

We would like to thank Trent and Robyn for inviting us on their show, we have so much gratitude and appreciation for your work.

You can check out their podcast and learn more about them by heading to their website Olfactive Melbourne

Perfume Class & Workshop

It feels like it was such a long tome ago now, but Wow! What an amazing day we all had in our Perfume Workshop back in August.

It was wonderful to have everyone join us and us all immerse ourselves in the world of perfume for the day!

We learnt about the history of perfume, gained an understanding of basic perfume theory and safety with perfume, learned about different raw ingredient classifications, correct perfume formulation and how to create a written composition!

Then on top it all off, we took our new found knowledge into the Lab, smelt our way through all of the wonderful oils and then got ourselves busy creating the perfumes we designed. We were able to decide on if we wanted to make a spray or a roll on, Maryka then helped get the perfumes ready to bottle and take home!

It was incredible and exciting to smell and experience everyone’s perfumes and just how unique and beautiful they all turned out.

Thank You to everyone who joined us for this workshop and making the day so special.

We loved spending the day with you all and helping you create your scent-sational perfumes!

We look forward to the next workshop!

A Scent Born from Hobart’s Soul

In some other exciting news, we were asked by the City of Hobart to collaborate with them on a project, to create the scent of Hobart. You can check out those details on our socials. We were asked to create a beautiful scent that captures the essence of Hobart, with its diversity. Together, as a team, we came up with some ideas about the landscape, water, wilderness and stories. We had a short timeframe, and we all worked together to pull it off.

Tabitha created the design elements and brief for the project, I created a few different scent trials and, in a nutshell, once all of those elements came together, the labels were printed, my sister helped me bottle the scent, Masey labelled the bottles and we even had our friend and neighbour come to help us pack everything ready for the courier, with 10 minutes to spare.

We literally had our skates on. We did it and we are all proud of our achievements. As they say, “it takes team work to make the dream work.”

We would like to thank the The City of Hobart for asking us to be part of the Economic Development Conference, to represent Hobart, in conjunction with the City of Clarence and the City of Glenorchy.

Apparently, we were the talk of the conference, which is such a delight for us to hear.

We will be uploading the video made by the City of Hobart that was played at the conference in the coming week on our
YouTube Channel, so make sure you Subscribe and click the Notification Bell so you don’t miss when it’s been uploaded.

Refreshing Summer Salad Recipe

This salad is simple yet delicious and packs a refreshing, flavourful, mouthwatering punch no matter what you pair with it whether, grilled or tinned Salmon, a grilled steak or even some nice cold prawns!. It’s perfect for the Summer months ahead.

Ingredients:
1 x Iceberg Lettuce
1-2 Limes
1 x Avocado
1 x Mango (perfectly ripe, but not too ripe)
1 x bunch Coriander
A little pinch of Salt

Method:
- Wash, dry and then either tear or slice (how ever you like it) the lettuce into mouth size pieces and place in a large bowl.

- With the avocado and mango, peel then cube into pieces, and place on top of the lettuce.

- Depending on how much you like coriander, tear off around ¼ - ½ of the leaves from the bunch of coriander. You can either place the leaves in whole or slice/chop them to make them finer. If you don’t like coriander, leave it out or substitute it for continental parsley, or even dill leaves or fennel.

- Wash your limes then use the juice of one 1 lime, squeezing it over the other ingredients.

- Add your pinch of salt, sprinkling it evenly over the other ingredients.

  • Mix the salad thoroughly using tongs or gently using a couple of wooden spoons. Once combined, do a taste test. If you would like it to have more of a zesty punch, try zesting the skin or your other lime, or adding in some more lime juice, or both.

    - You can also add a small amount of finely diced, or thinly sliced red onion to this salad as well.

    - If you don’t like avocado, leave it out, or if you don’t like mango, you could substitute it out for orange or mandarin slices. A soft, creamy goats cheese can also be a nice addition to this salad too.

This salad pairs beautifully with seafood, chicken, or even lamb or steak. It will also keep for a couple of days in the fridge.

    Bon Appétit!
Happy Eating and I hope you enjoy it!
